So laios and fallin have been ostracized by society since they were children, Marcille has lifelong grief from constantly outliving her loved ones that leads her to dark magics, kabru’s village was destroyed by monsters, senshi and mithrun both have horror movie level backstories, izutsumi was sold as a freak show attraction, and then there’s chilchuck, who is a normal ass divorced middle aged man. And somehow he’s the most shady and secretive out of all of them

Edit can y’all please let me live I didn’t make this post bc I think chilchuck doesn’t have his own trauma or doesn’t experience racism or that being a union boss is a walk in the park or whatever I made it because him lying that he cheated on his wife to get the others to stop asking about his family was funny as fuck. Heya! Hey, I dunno if you'll be down to do the same idea/sort of request, but would you be able to draw your take of my idea for Space Western Robotnik and Stone?

Maybe with Stone shooting someone while he's running alongside Robotnik, with Robotnik holding a bag of money over his shoulder, with both of them having their hat space helmets active. For that, look at the examples here

Oh and if you could give Stone a purple bandana that would be pretty cool :)

Honestly, I think the best way to write Steve is as mostly right.

Like, he gets the big picture but messes up some of the details because the Upside Down is being explained with references to things he’s not well-versed in.

But Steve is very intuitive and strategic in a way that I don’t think other characters are. So, he’s not a genius like Dustin and he’s no Nancy, but he’s quick on his feet and that’s saved lives.

Low key very tired of people responding to veilguard criticism with something along the lines of “lol these people have no media literacy, didn’t you understand what the game was telling you??” Yes, yes I understand what the game was trying to tell me. That doesn’t mean I have to like it or the way the writers went about it.

Also the whole argument of “well, the dragon age fandom proved they couldn’t handle xyz controversial character/element of the story so that’s why veilguard had very little references to those things” kinda grinds my gears a bit. I don’t think it can be proven with 100% certainty what writing decisions were made based on past fandom reactions to the other games, but I do think it would be an incredibly shitty move to simplify or remove complexity from a story just because there might be a portion of the audience who doesn’t get it. “The fandom couldn’t even handle Vivienne” Yeah a good amount of people dismissed her as a selfish snooty bitch, but I didn’t and a lot of other people didn’t and to remove complex and interesting characters like her on the basis that enough people “won’t get it” just feels like a disservice to all of us.
